Vernon Lanes

PROJECT DETAILS

A piece of history, brought back to life over the course of two years. Vernon Lanes is the oldest bowling alley in Kentucky and the 4th oldest in the country. The historic building had fallen into disrepair, but the bones were still good. The goal wasn’t to restore its original spirit and let its age show… in the best way!

The palette leans into that history—deep wood tones, moody blues, and hits of mustard that feel both nostalgic and fresh. Original elements were preserved wherever possible, including the brick, seating, and ball returns. One of the biggest shifts was overhead. The drop ceiling was removed to expose the original roofline, bringing back the scale and industrial character that defined the space from the start.

This project will remain in the list of ones I’m most proud of and honored to have been part of!
