Moody Kitchen
PROJECT DETAILSThis repeat client came to us ready to soften the starkness of her all-white kitchen without altering the original footprint. From the beginning, we leaned into contrast and depth. Warm oak tones were paired with creamy painted cabinetry with a pronounced wood grain that brings movement and character into the space. The countertops—Nuage quartzite with a honed finish—felt like the perfect bridge between refined and organic, with subtle green undertones and warm veining that quietly tie the palette together.
Upgraded appliances, lighting, and storage solutions were also important to the client. A custom oversized hood became the statement piece of the kitchen. A fully integrated wall of cabinetry was designed to feel seamless and architectural, all while concealing the walk-in pantry and housing the double ovens and panelized refrigerator.
Beyond the kitchen, the adjacent living space was completely reimagined with softly curved built-ins, tucked-away storage cubbies, and a recessed television niche that keeps the room feeling intentional rather than technology-driven. The original fireplace was transformed through applied molding and detailed trim work, creating a dramatic focal point that grounds the entire space.
